Buildings and Landmarks of note include:

  • The Giant Coffeepot - made of tin, an original "logo" of a Salem merchant. On Main Street just north of Old Salem
  • The old Shell Station - a giant seashell! At Sprague and Peachtree streets.
  • Reynolds Building on Main Street, completed in 1929 in the Art Deco style, was used as a model for the Empire State Building in New York City, and by the same architects.
  • Wells Fargo building on Second Street, completed in 1995, uses Moravian themes in the design, is likened to a giant rosebud ready to bloom, and is the tallest building in Winston-Salem.
