Housing & Community Services

The Housing and Community Services division coordinates a variety of funding sources and community partnerships as part of our commitment to the citizens of Winston-Salem. Are core areas of focus are:

Homeless services – Working to leverage local, state and federal funds and partnerships for the benefit of unhoused persons in the Winston-Salem area;

Affordable Housing – Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to ensure safe, affordable housing for those who need it;

Community Services – Ensuring more and better jobs, opportunities for entrepreneurship and skills training for Winston-Salem residents;

Strategic Planning – Working to realize the vision of the City of Winston-Salem to grow and prosper as a key pillar of the Triad; and

Partnership Building – Growing the interpersonal and inter-agency bonds of trust and collaboration that are critical to achieving the greatest amount of good possible for the greatest number of our citizens.
