Virtual Meeting Information

Regular Meeting of the Winston-Salem City Council (Virtual) October 18, 2021, 7:00 p.m.

The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. Citizens who wish to participate are encouraged to start logging on to the meeting remotely at 6:00 p.m. 

To comment virtually through the Zoom app, login to the meeting by clicking on the following link:

 Public Hearings: - Each speaker will be allowed three minutes to speak. 

Public Comment Period

  • Public Comment is a time set aside for citizens to voice their opinions on matters germane to City Government. When the Virtual Comment Period is called, each speaker will have three minutes to speak. The Public Comment Period will be limited to a total of 30 minutes.

Participating Virtually in the October 18, 2021 Meeting

  • Log into the meeting using the previously mentioned link.
  • If you do not have Zoom installed on your computer already, you will be asked to download the Zoom app. If you have an older version of Zoom installed, you may be asked to update to the newest version prior to proceeding. 
  • If you decline installing this software on your device, you may click on the link on this page that says “join from your browser”.

If you wish to comment but only have access to a phone connection, you may call 1-646-518-9805 or 1-646-558-8656. When prompted, enter the meeting ID number: 848 7399 5029 (Note: This number will be available beginning at 6:00 p.m. on October 18, 2021

  • Once you are connected to the meeting, please be patient in waiting for a staff member to connect you – this sometimes takes a few minutes. Staff will send participants to a separate virtual meeting room to ensure participants are able to speak on the appropriate items.

    The meeting will be broadcast as a livestream on WSTV Digital Media at this link. and can be viewed live on Spectrum Channel 13.The meeting will also be archived on the City’s website for watching on demand at a later date.
