The Records Division is the primary repository of documents considered to be the official document of record for most police activity. The Division is staffed by 28 non-sworn personnel who provide twenty-four hour support to Winston-Salem Police and other law enforcement agencies. In addition to maintaining a local database of incident, arrest, and warrant data, the Division enters and maintains national access to files on wanted and missing persons, stolen vehicles, property, and guns.
