About the Project

The City of Winston-Salem has determined it necessary to repair a segment of Old Salisbury Road between Brewer Road and Gyro Drive. An embankment failure occurred along Old Salisbury Road in Spring of 2021 causing a portion of the travel lane to crack significantly. This project will repair roadway and shoulders, stabilize embankment slopes, replace drainage pipes and a concrete box culvert structure. The project will also install guardrail for safety and repair other affected public infrastructure such as utilities.
