Clean & Green

Daffodils and BushesClean & Green School Contest

The Clean & Green School Contest promotes environmental education and campus beautification in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools. Through the contest, Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful hopes to identify role model schools who exemplify environmental stewardship.

This contest is conducted each year during Earth week in April. Representatives from Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful and the Garden Club Council judge public schools on beautification and environmental education programs. Flags, certificates, and plaques, are awarded. There are two levels of winners, Excellence Award Winners and Campus Winners. Both levels receive a certificate or a plaque and Clean & Green flag.
