The Marketing and Communications Department informs the public about city services through printed and electronic communications, including:

  • News releases sent to local newspapers, television stations and radio stations and posted on the city website.
  • The city’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Nextdoor).
  • The city’s YouTube Channel (CityofWS.org/YouTube).
  • WSTV Digital Media (Spectrum channel 13 and AT&T Uverse channel 99), which provides programming about Winston-Salem city government.
  • City Edition, an electronic newsletter posted online and sent monthly to subscribers.
  • City NOW, a monthly advertisement in the Winston-Salem Journal and The Chronicle.
  • Brochures, rack cards and fliers.
  • Newspaper, radio, television, social media and digital advertising.
  • The city website.
