The city has launched a new app and online tool that takes the guesswork out of curbside collections, be it garbage, recycling, yard waste, brush or bulky item collection. Users will be guided to type in their address when they open the app for the first time.

Automated Side Loading VehicleGarbage Collection

Refuse is a weekly collection service provided to single-family households in Winston-Salem.

Yard Waste Cart Collection

Residents not wanting to compost yard waste can have their yard debris collected in a special 96-gallon roll-out cart purchased from the city. No garbage is allowed in the carts.

Brush Collection

Brush collection is provided to single-family households when placed at the curb.
