The Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Annex is a 4,000-seat multi-purpose, 28,000 square foot arena in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

History

Built in 1989, it was formerly home to the following hockey teams:

  • Twin City Cyclones 
  • Winston-Salem Icehawks
  • Winston-Salem Mammonths
  • Winston-Salem Polar Twins
  • Winston-Salem T-Birds
  • Carolina Thunderbirds

Public Ice Skating

Currently the Annex is home to public ice skating in the months from October to March, following the Carolina Classic Fair.

Concert & Entertainment Venue

It also serves as an occasional concert and entertainment venue, hosting Bob Dylan on two occasions, in 1991 and 2002, Wiz Khalifa in 2011, Tiesto in 2010, TNA Wrestling, and Swan Lake in 2014 to name a few.
