The Transportation Department has a focus on moving people and goods safely and efficiently on the surface transportation system in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County. We aspire to plan, design, construct, operate and maintain our system so that congestion, delay and traffic accidents are minimized while transportation choices and emergency services are maximized.

The citizen's of the City of Winston-Salem are afforded a variety of transportation options throughout the City from bicycling and walking to public transportation.  The City's Transportation Department manages and assists with the operations, planning and enforcement of these various modes of travel.  For more information on each transportation option, click on the image below.
