[ARCHIVED] National Night Out (NNO) - Virtual

National Night Out 2020

National Night or NNO, is a community/police campaign that is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for local anticrime programs, strengthen neighborhood and community/police partnerships, and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organizing and fighting back. More than 37 million people are expected to participate in "America's Night Out Against Crime."

This year on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 marks the 37th Annual National Night Out celebrations.

Due to the pandemic, residents are encouraged to follow the CDC guidelines and the state and local government laws set in place.

Neighborhood Watch Groups throughout Winston-Salem are encouraged to participate in NNO by virtual gatherings. The Winston-Salem Police Department and city officials will be delivering remarks via a pre-recorded video with a shared link:

The video will be available at 6:00 p.m. and a Proclamation will be read declaring October 6, 2020 National Night Out in Winston-Salem, NC.

We would like to encourage everyone to join us in a united fight against crime by turning on your porch light from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2020.
