Fairgrounds

The Winston-Salem Fairgrounds will interview applicants and extend job offers at an upcoming “hiring event” to fill part-time positions. The event will be held Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 in the Neal Bolton Home & Garden Building. There will be two sessions each day: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Applicants should enter through Gate 9 on 27th Street.

Positions are available for ages 16 and up to work at fairgrounds facilities for such events as concerts, hockey games, public ice skating, the Carolina Classic Fair and more. Fairgrounds officials say they need to hire more than 20 people for part-time jobs.

Interview stations will be set up and successful applicants will receive job offers on the spot. Jobs to be filled include ticket takers, ticket sellers, event attendants, concessions attendants, skate guards, set-up crews and more.

More information, including available jobs and job descriptions, is posted at WSFairgrounds.com/Jobs.
