If the City issues no more bonds until January 2027 what would be a reasonable assumption as to bonding capacity at that time?

The $50 million capacity that was provided during the budget process last year assumed a 2027 general obligation issuance based upon a potential 2026 referendum. This was provided to City Council for discussion purposes; the timing of future referendums has not been determined. The number also assumed no new debt would be approved or issued other than equipment and projects already in process (remaining 2018 GO Bonds, Two-Thirds Bonds, and LOBS).  The City may also have the need to issue bonds for other funds (i.e. Water/Sewer, Stormwater, Landfill), but the capacity for these types of bonds is considered separately from general obligation bonds.
