Why do I have to sign in?

As a security measure, it is required to sign in and be authenticated as a city employee if you are not on the city network. The site will time out your authentication after a few hours, after which time (or the next day) you will sign in again to re-establish your identity as an employee.

This security allows us to make the intranet available to all city employees - even those who do not use computers for their everyday work. Read the Employee Center from home!
