Why did the City of Winston-Salem create EAGs?

Based on the responses from the Employee Equity Survey and feedback from the Equity Core Team, the Human Relations/Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Department felt it was important to create spaces for employees to meet others of like backgrounds to build new networks in the City of Winston-Salem.  EAGs are also a national best practice.
