Can I bag my recyclables?

If you want to bag recyclables, you can do so in paper bags. However, avoid bagging recyclables in trash bags as they will likely be mistaken for trash in the recycling facility and won't get sorted. The exception to this rule is shredded paper which must be bagged in clear plastic bags. This is done so the sorters at the facility can see what the material is, but the bags keep the shredded paper contained and prevents it from contaminating other material like glass.
